24 Ramadhan 1429 H

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...

5-6 days to go. terasa berlalu begitu cepat, tak sempat merasai sepenuhnya Ramadhan kali ni.

apapun, cuba sedaya upaya untuk menghabiskan sebaik mungkin agar tidak rugi melepaskan sebulan ini. rite? =)

2 days ago, former US Army Muslim Chaplain, Capt. James 'Yusuf' Yee, came here as a speaker invited by VU Speaker Committee. and his main topic was to talk on his experience as a Muslim Chaplain in Guantanamo Bay which was really inspiring.

His contributions were great, mashaAllah. He was the place for the prisoners to tell their stories of torcher, he asked for appropriate meals during Ramadhan, he set the kibla direction. There were around 700 prisoners, many2 workers who are Muslims there, and his efforts were a huge impact for the whole camp in Guantanamo.

His last point, he wants us to think about freedom that we're talking. Is this the real freedom that we say? If that's true, how is the government knows our really personal information - bills, bank account, etc. It's between God and Patriotism.

Well, I'd say - beraninya dia menceritakan semua ni. Agak detail dan mendalam.

Anyway, that's a great input for this Holy Ramadhan. May Allah bless him to protect Islam and nation.

Allahummaghfirly wa liwalidayya warhamhuma kama rabbayani saghira.
Allahummansuril Islama wal muslimin wal mujahidina fi kulli makaan wa fi kulli zamaan.
Ameen ya Allah...

ps: Today's 24th Ramadhan. Um... tua dah rupanya. Baru sedar ke?

Just FORGIVE people =)

From the Qur'an
"It is part of the Mercy of Allah that you deal gently
with them. Were you severe or harsh-hearted, they would have
went away from you: so pass over (their faults), and
ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in the
affairs (of the moment). Then, when you have taken a decision, place
your trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who place their trust
(in Him)." 3:159

[Lessons from this verse]
It is not the snake bite that kills,
it's the venom that flows through the blood. The antidote is
forgiving people. Don't let anger rent space in your mind and
heart. Forgive and pass over people's faults.

[Suggestions on how to implement this verse]

Ramadhan Kareem - Independence Day

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...

It's kinda late, seeing everyone's already wished earlier. Just got back from ISNA annual convention this morning, it was just great, mashaAllah!

Anyway, wishing everyone a great blessed Ramadhan. Fill your day as much a you could. Tadabbarul Qur'an, Solatut Tarawih, Qiyamul-Lail, and so many other things!

Earlier, Happy belated independence day to my home country. Free yourself from bad influences, let us be close to ALlah. Not just the country which is independent, we also as the citizen should free ourselves from colonization in our heart and mind.

Be free! Get yourselves under Allah's bless and rahmah, inshaAllah.

Ramadhan Mubarak!
