Journey Back Home 1

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...

I believe if I do not start the story right now, I won't write about it anymore. So, let's start even though I don't have much idea how to write right now.

-----
Alhamdulillah tsummal hamdulillah. The journey back home began smoothly. Though the beginning was a bit rushing, but it was okay. Just I did not have a proper goodbyes to Chicago people.

The trip began from Chicago on Saturday after noon. It was a total rush. We were supposed to arrive in Midway Airport an hour before the departure, but it turned out the traffic jam was a total mess. It was our fault a bit that we didn't go out early as Uncle Rahman said, sibuk nak makan jugak. And the traffic jam was worse than the usual - so it was unexpected.

And we had bag packing activity almost everyday since Tuesday before the flight. haha. *Even now, unpacking and putting those into boxes and drawers....*

~~~New York~~~
We stayed at Athirah's apartment, Steven's sort-of on-campus housing in New Jersey. It was my 3rd time I guess, coming here. The first was during our travel to Tamrin in RPI, Albany. The second was my family trip last year before going to Niagara.
My sister and I made a long tour in Manhattan in 8 hours. From waayyy down south at the Statue of Liberty up to the Central Park area. Not having anyone familiar with the area, we traveled by bus then the subway..... We stopped at nowhere, but knowing it's close to WTC, so we exited.
And then walked, and walked to the Ferry Station to see the Statue, but our budget trip didn't allow us to go there so we only watch from far. hehe... but lots of fake 'statues' all over NY you can take picture with. heh~
Then we took the subway and stop near the Central Park, then walked towards Apple Store which looks like a wet market. Couldn't get the thing that we wanted, we got out and walked again until unexpectedly we passed the Trump Tower.... A police was next to us while we were almost sitting on the floor taking the picture of the tower.
Walking towards Times Square, we passed the Rockefeller Center. Oh, a LEGO store has opened. Looks interesting, and the style is almost similar to M&M store... I think.
Lastly, we headed to the main bus station and hurriedly catch the bus to Hoboken, NJ. Overall, it was kinda a refresh for our last year's trip. Honestly, it won't be my favorite place to visit as I'd rather visit caves, falls, and all the sceneries than the busy city with honks all the time and cars running like crazy.
And after the tiring day, we stayed home, and repack (again!) for the long journey for the next day. Unbelievable, the fee for our cab was over $100 to go to the airport. But we had no choice, we have lots of luggage that it is impossible to carry them ourselves on subways. ~_~
Next entry... goodbye US. Hi Korea & Malaysia.
