The one who is very patience

Did you know about the second of the Khulafa ArRasyidin, Saidina Umar AlKhattab r.a.?

Saidina Umar AlKhattab r.a. was a very intimidating and feared man. But, he was one of the calmest and most patience among his people.

And he was very practical in his approach on HOW to be patience.

Subhanallah! This is what he said:

"Any hardship or calamity that I got, I would THANK ALLAH s.w.t for FOUR reasons."

MasyaAllah, how many of us hold our anger when something bad happened to us? How many of us smile when something bad happened to us? How many of us THANK ALLAH s.w.t when something bad happened to us?

Saidina Umar r.a. continued by saying:

"The first reason, is that the test was not in my Deen."

Because if you lose your Deen, you lose everything!

Can you imagine if you lose you Deen? Whatever belongings you have lost, your phone, your laptop, your camera, your car, things that you hold dearly to you, is nothing compared to the lost of your Deen! Look at Saidina Umar r.a. How he really value his Deen and Iman. How do you value your Deen and Iman? Will you feel the pain of losing your Deen and Iman, as if you've lost your most prized possession? :)

"The second reason, is that it could have been worst!"

Did you remember the day you find out your exam results? Your semester grades? Your test marks? How did you do? Did you get lower than what you expected, even though you have tried very your best? You got a B- instead of an A. You got 55% instead of the 80% you think you got.

Well, it could've been worse.

You could've failed it, right? :)

"The third reason, it's kafarah for my sins (i.e. Allah will forgive my sins, if I'm patience, insyaAllah)"

Sometimes, we forgot that Allah s.w.t loves us very much. :) Be patient, and Allah s.w.t will forgive your sins..

"The fourth reason, is that the lost of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was the greatest lost. Anything that happens to me, is nothing compared to the lost of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w."

Allahu Akbar! The love of Saidina Umar r.a. for the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is beyond the love of his children, his wife, or anyone else.

How can we miss the things we lost, if we didn't miss the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w even more?

If we are being tested in the future, can we be calm and patient, as Saidina Umar r.a. did? :)
