Syai... bissukkar?

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...

It was my flight back to KL last weekend. So much of tense and it has been quite some time not to go and relax with family, I decided to fly back home~

I sat next to an Arabic couple, looks like they're married... ok, that's not the point... So, at that time, I was so tired, and I felt like I just want to sleep and get enough rest before I do the next rush.

But then, the girl next to me offered her McD fries... I took a piece or two, and we started to talk a bit.. The husband asked, "Hajj? Makkah?" I really don't know what to respond other than "Not yet".

But he actually didn't understand English.... Sigh... How to say "not yet" in Arabic? I forgot!

So then we did a little bit of conversation, with only pieces of Arabic and English phrases... What came into my mind, "Why can't I remember all those words now? -_-"

They are actually from Madinah, just got married and is having their honeymoon here in Malaysia. :) The wife knows a bit of English, so at least I can mix up English and Arabic with them. haha~

And lastly, to test my arabic speech, the husband said 'syai, syai' to the stewardess who looked totally clueless what he's talking about. I said to the stewardess that he wanted "Syai, bis sukkar", tea with sugar.. no caffeine. Nice huh?

So, what do we learn from here? Practice your Arabic!!

ps: Rasa rugi je dah ambil sampai intermediate Arabic tapi tergagap bila nak cakap dengan orang Arab. Embarassing..........
